USPS also said that since 2022, it has installed 116 new parcel sorters across the United States. USPS aims to install 137 units in 2022, which will bring the total number of its new package processing machines to 249 units, since the launch of the “10-year delivery plan in the United States”.

It is reported that USPS has recently implemented new parcel sorters in Dexarkana (Texas), Lexington (Kentucky), Amarillo (Texas), Saco (Maine) and Columbia (Maryland).

In May this year, USPS said that it expected that the number of packages handled each day in the holiday season would reach 40 million, and it was ready to deliver so many packages.

USPS also said that since the beginning of 2021, it has obtained a stable and sufficient labor force by converting 100000 part-time workers into full-time workers. Among them, since January 2022, more than 41000 part-time workers have become full-time workers.
